Back again with another pipe tobacco review! This week we chose John Middleton’s Apple. Im sure even you non pipe smokers out there have heard of middleton’s black and mild, or one of his other wood tipped cigars. Machine made cigars with pipe tobacco filler. Very aromatic and sweet smelling.
The Apple pipe tobacco is a broken flake, Virginia and Burley blend, embelished with apple flavor. It’s a discontinued blend so if you find it snatch it up while you can. The blend is getting to be a bit pricey and harder to find. You can buy it online. Rumor has it they were bought out by the Cigarette company Altadis.
This mild to medium Strength tobacco, feels good in the pipe and smells great. Very aromatic indeed. It is a decent smoke, with a minor tongue bite, if smoked to rapidly. The lack of complexity makes it a daily smoker, nothing to sit and focus on. Just a normal, somewhat smooth, smoke.
It offers a great room note and people around you will enjoy it’s warm aroma.
